FG to investigate National Assembly members that collected funds for constituency projects but never executed them

The Federal government is compiling a list of senators and House of Representatives members who collected funds for constituency projects in the 2014 to 2015 budget and never executed the projects.

About N100 billion was earmarked in the 2014 budget for constituency projects meant for the National Assembly members. Most of the projects were reportedly paid for in full and were never executed.

A source in the office of the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, says the Police, EFCC and ICPC are currently compiling the list. The source added that after a detailed investigation is carried out, those found wanting will be prosecuted.
