The former Vice President and opposition leader in South Sudan, Reik Machar has fled South Sudan in a move which is believed to worsen the political conflict in the beleaguered Country. The high hopes which heralded the independence of South Sudan soon gave way to despair as the newest African nation degenerated to civil war as a result of disagreement among its leaders. This serves as a lesson to other African communities clamouring for separation and independence to think twice as this leads to more conflict if not properly managed
