Shooters have kidnapped Mr Iti Watson, father of Mr Alfred Watson, part speaking to Brass Constituency II in Bayelsa State House of Assembly.
Representative for the Police in Bayelsa, Butswat Asimin affirmed this in Yenagoa on Saturday.
Asimin said the police had activated to angle out the culprits.
"The Police Anti-abducting Unit and other important security organizations have been activated to find the ruffians", he said.
As per a family source, which favored secrecy, the casualty was snatched on his way from Okpoama to Egweama for internment of spouse, Comfort.
"Shooters assaulted their business speedboat and whisked the septuagenarian away at around 9 a.m. on Saturday.''
His child, Alfred, said the hijackers were yet to reach the relatives.
