Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is considering using the transfer market for cover as injuries within his squad build up.
The German is without Mamadou Sakho, Joe Gomez and Lucas Leiva for the start of the Premier League season, which the Reds kick off with a visit to Arsenal on Aug. 14.
Left-back, meanwhile, is an area where Liverpool could strengthen before the transfer window closes at the end of the month.
Midfielder James Milner is expected to be used there this campaign, with Alberto Moreno, who limped off in the 2-1 friendly defeat to Roma on Monday, currently the only recognised left-back at the club.

“Is the activity all over? I have no idea,” Klopp said. “I don’t think so. We will see what happens.
“If the Roma game was our base then we have to change everything but it isn’t. Was the Milan game more our base? Maybe. But Roma? No.
“Gomez, Sakho and Lucas are all injured so of course we haven’t got enough centre-backs at the moment. But we have to handle situations.
“There have been too many games with not enough centre-backs. We can’t sign someone just for a few weeks. In other positions we do have cover.”
