The Chief Medical Director of Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), Idi-Araba, Lagos, Professor Bode Chris, has said he is unaware of the #SaveMayowa alleged scam involving the family of Ahmed Mayowa Sukurat, an ovarian cancer patient said to be on admission at LUTH.
Bode also said, the hospital will investigate the report.
“I am hearing the case for the first time. The hospital will make proper investigation on her case and we will inform the public as at when due.”

Recall that an online campaign was launched to raise money for Mayowa and about N32million was raised.
Online reports have it that though, Mayowa has ovarian cancer and was admitted at LUTH but she does not need any financial assistance for surgery because her case is beyond treatment.
It was alleged that, Mayowa’s family allegedly used their daughter’s ill heath to raise money from Nigerians.
