Why we must continue with demolition of criminal hideouts – Wike

Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has said that his administration will continue the demolition of criminal hideouts in the state to guarantee security of lives and property.
The governor spoke, yesterday, when he played host to the management of the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital at the Government House, Port Harcourt.
The governor who said that his government will respect the rights of individuals, stressed that the demolition was not targeted at any group.
According to him, it was all about ensuring a safe and secured environment for residents of the state.
“Our security measures are not targeted at any group. But we are interested in the security of lives and property, which remains paramount. No right thinking government will fold its hands and allow criminals to torment residents and drive away investors,” he said.
