The association is a registered non-profit organization that aims to promote unity, culture, economics and educational growth among Idoma speaking communities in the United States and in Nigeria.
The event which started on 4th August is expected to end on August 7, 2016.
Prominent Idoma sons and daughters today converged on Techniplex Conference Centre, venue of the convention to celebrate this historical day.
Some of the guests spotted at the event include: the Executive Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom, represented by his SSA on Diaspora Affairs, Rev. Peter Ichull, the chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue State, Comrade Abba Yaro; the Akanaba K'Idoma, Chief Mike Okibe Onoja; Hon. Ochigbo Mathew; Linda Ada Obeya and many others.
