Shanghai Shenhua coach fears end of Demba Ba’s career following leg break

Shanghai Shenhua coach Gregorio Manzano is concerned Demba Ba may not recover from the horrific leg break he suffered against Shanghai SIPG FC on Sunday.
Ba, 31, was taken off on 70 minutes following a tangle with an opposition player before a late Fredy Guarin penalty earned Shenhua a 2-1 win.
“It’s maybe the end of his professional career,” RMC quoted Manzano as saying.

“I would have preferred to lose the match than lose Demba Ba.”
The former Chelsea, West Ham and Newcastle striker moved to the Chinese Super League from Besiktas last summer and had scored 14 goals in 18 games this season.
