SGF Asks Nigerians To Pray For PMB, Ministers

PMB - Buhari
The federal government yesterday confirmed that President Muhammadu Buhari was on medical vacation and also three other ministers are sick.
The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Mr. Babachir Lawal yesterday disclosed this while saying the opening prayer at the beginning of a meeting of the Federal Executive Council presided over by Acting President Yemi Osinbajo at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
LEADERSHIP recalls that Buhari is currently in London on a 10-day vacation during which he is scheduled to see Ear, Nose and Throat doctors while his spokesman, Femi Adesina had insisted that the president is as fit as fiddle.
At the beginning of the FEC meeting yesterday Osinbajo had asked the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, to offer Islamic prayer while he asked Lawal to say the Christian prayer.
On his part, Mohammed  asked God to grant the cabinet members wisdom as they make national decisions at the meeting.
However  the SGF saying the Christian prayer  asked God to be with the President who he said was on “medical vacation.”
Lawal also prayed for the  Minister of Women Affairs, Mrs. Aisha Alhassan, who he said “is recuperating in US after a surgery” and also the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, who he said “is down with back pain.”
He also prayed for the Minister of State for Environment, Ibrahim Jibrin.
